Be a Volunteer | More than a Market
Interested in volunteering at the Crescent City Farmers Market?
We aim to do more than just provide a place to sell fresh local foods; rather, we want to cultivate a food system that can supply the local area and offer technical support to surrounding regions. Our volunteers come from many walks of life: market shoppers, dedicated foodies, students, professionals, chefs and restaurant staff, neighborhood activists, and others who want to share their talents and time by helping Market Umbrella strengthen and sustain the local food economy.
Volunteering at Market Umbrella is a great way to give back to the community and help the local economy. Volunteers are offered an opportunity to help organize and facilitate events like cooking demos, market support activities for kids, and more.
